Sharon worked at St. Thomas' Hospital since she first qualified as a nurse 5 years ago. Following a D grade rotation programme in the cardiothoracic centre, she progressed to E grade staff nurse on an invasive cardiology ward. During this time she completed a specialist cardiac nursing course as part of her BSc which prepared her for a senior staff nurse role. Following a year as a Senior Staff Nurse, she worked in the department of Clinical Pharmacology in conjunction with the Coronary Disease Research Group as Research Nurse.
